Sebastian Gramm for decades has been writing screenplays for film under pseudonyms, and several collections of short stories which are being reissued for an end of the year publication. There is a reoccurring paradoxical theme of hope meeting despair making for a thought-provoking body of work. The prose is blatant as it is lucid and as delicate as a sledgehammer through a China Shop. At times the prose reads as a cautionary tale of a wanderer in utter and final anguish, and at other moments, a crowing cock laughing into the wind with shitting pigeons and sad clowns.
